because the Closing the Gap data shows that there has been no significant improvement, with some goals going backwards, over the last decade and more....
therefore any change would be an improvement. the voice has a greater chance of improving management of first Aussie concerns and needs because it will be able to identify potential remedial actions instead of relying on patriarchal definitions and punitive responses.
the better debate in PH should create a body that is functional and capable. if it doesn't then it can be re-formulated to enable it to be more focussed and effective.
but I'll repeat the most important part, that its down to Dutton, as leader of the Opposition (not really because Bandt and the Grns have become the real opposition), to ensure the Voice its functional and efficient.
