Hi Nistrams
Agreed. For me I know enough about ORD to know what the catalysts for the sp in the short term having done own research and where its opportunities/risks are for sp appreciation and to dispell the hot air...
Main catalyst for any 'significant' sp appreciation are in order timeline wise:
1. Improved macro environment and greater appetite for more risky assets/stocks like ORD. Is this correction over...? No clear evidence for me on that so treading carefully...(risk is obviously correction hasn't finished or turns into a bear market)
2. Potential acquisition of near term producer - as stated they have two targets they are looking at per 5th May presentation...with their Chinese Counteparts....(risk is acquisitions not attractive deal wise or don't materialise)
3. Copperflats - this is definitely measured in months for any newsflow/impact on sp...(risk is drill results not good, or show Copper flats is a duster)
4. Outcome of feasibility study for LAOS...again measured in months...moreso if project comes out with green light and clear action plan for next steps to progress this with some clearer timelines which to date have been lacking around this project...(risk is feasibility study shows low NPV or negative and project not a goer etc)
Other attraction for me is Chinese Strategic Partners and access to Chinese money/investors...waiting to see confirmed how much value can be prescribed to this as early days as well....but has potential to offer significant potential upside if you have backers with deep pockets and right connections...
Copper prices is relevant for those advanced who have confirmed reserves/production status like ABY and JML...but less relevant in short term for ORD as more about results of drilling to confirm they have anything at this stage...baby steps.....
I don't like having a big bottom draw for spec stocks as reality is most of those can end up as worthless stocks as only a few specs ever make it...ORD is one prepared to leave there though as got enough catalysts for sp appreciation versus risks to see how this plays out over next 6 months...
I am not recommending this stock to anyone as you have to do your own research and way up potential risks/rewards in view of some of things I have mentioned above and your appetite for risk....
But I guess I am saying is depending on your risk appetite it is worth some research...
