Will the rally continue?

Yes SYA gained half cent to finish at 19.5c. Our volume though not very high but much better than last few days, just over 60m shares traded. Still trading n same place with no clear direction at this stage. Lets see if we get a push next week.

ASX Li stocks had a decent day without being spectacular. Of the 73 stocks that I track, average gain was around 2%.

Overnight US Li stocks also moved up in similar fashion to ASX Li with average gain around 2%.

What next:
.
So finally we got a number which could break the first shackles. A very good PPI number backed by favourable job data for stocks. SP 500 finally broke the 4130/4140 resistance to finish at 4146, around 1.3% gain, finishing near day's high. ASX too did well but with lesser gains of around 0.5%.

SP 500 is now again back on track to get to the numbers I have been talking about 4300/4350. Before that there a few numbers it has to get over, crucially around 4200. Downside needs to hold 4100 now.

The bears have not yet given up, saying Inflation is no longer an issue, its recession that will bring the markets down. So this rally is not sustainable. But many punters were on very high shorting, so definetly some sort of short squeeze is happening or may escalate and possibly give a big rise to SP 500.

Lead indicators are still favourable with VIX now below 18, though Yields still had a small rise.

So what will happen tonight? US Futures in slight red. Asian markets generally green. Bitcoin on a tear and possibly aiming for a quick 32k. Earning Reports key tonight, with a number of financial institutions reporting. At this stage it is expected that these banks may have favourable reports which will let stocks to rise in short term. It would be good to touch 4200 on SP 500 tonight. Last time we had 4200 was in August last year - we came close in Feb this year to 4195. So it will be a milestone. Will that happen? Lets hope so.
