"ESS is worth what people are paying for it…"
I think that may not really the case at all as people often pay more or pay less than the item, company or service etc. is truly worth.

Picture this- At an auction people are bidding for an old locked briefcase. The briefcase is leather, worn but has a certain charm. It looks quite aged but It has a distinct rustic look about it.
    The bidding ends at $175.

Is that what the Briefcase is worth?

Well in this case most certainly not as once the winning bidder has the locks opened by a locksmith seven $100 gold coins are found inside.
$100 Gold coins are actually 1 oz each in weight worth roughly $3000Aud in today's money
So that briefcase is now worth over $21,000

But it was worth $21,000 when at auction the bidding reached $175. The gold coins were always inside the bidders just did not realize it.

Things can be worth way more, or less, than someone is prepared to pay. The value simply needs to be unlocked for the true worth to be realized.
