Half hour in and this thread is very quiet... what are all the "starts Monday at 60c and will head higher into MIN's pending TO offer" posters thinking?
MIN's friends (Bell Potter and others) could be mucking with our heads by selling down this morning enough to make it look like no MIN offer is coming in a hurry, or at all. Maybe some people know it won't be coming or in a hurry? I simply don;t see why MIN need to rush any TO offer out and generate more excitement and higher price expectations from holders? They played it brilliantly so far, leaving it so late nearly everyone (including myself and demonstrably the market) had given up on a MIN counterbid. Why not take it slow, hose down price expectations and see what TLEA do for starters...
I can see the arguments for MIN taking the entire company from TLEA, or seeing if they can do a deal to jointly take it with TLEA, or try and just block and do a JV DSO deal with ESS, but I just can't see the tactical need to rush into whatever. Let holders sweat, let ESS BOD and TLEA guess while going through the pantomime of getting 50c voted down this week. If not, why did MIN leave it so late (other than to maximise their chances of picking up 20% cheaply)?
Lot of question marks there, don;t think this post helps haha
