Err, at the obvious risk of contradicting myself it now turns out that the hard Morecambe Bay decision deadline on Friday, turned out to be a bit softer than expected.

EHI understands that contrary to our report last week no decision was actually taken on Friday, despite the obvious need to do so in order for a go-live this coming Bank Holiday weekend.

So, still no decision, the most important implementation in the NHS IT programme, presumably continues until someone says otherwise.

But at the beginning of the month it was the absence of an approval from the DH that put the kaibosh on Morecambe Bay going live, so presumably a definite green light is still be needed.
