I think you answered your own question there kevo.
There is no OTA for carbonate...(yet),
The PLL offtake is for sc6 only and once the carbonate plant starts, it gets priority and should receive basically all the concentrate output from NAL.
Carbonate will be sold by the jv (SYAQ) and the proceeds and costs are divided 25/75, as per ownership.
There is no offtake to PLL for carbonate.
How can they receive 50%, of the profits when they own 25% of the facility?
The product----a concentrate and carbonate( or hydroxide) are 2 completely different processes and products.
sc5.4, 5.5,5.8, 6+, is essentially concentrated lithia ore (spodumene concentrate) which via various processes, goes from 1% lithia ore in the ground to ore which is 6%, or spodumene concentrate 6%
The refining process then takes this concentrated ore and chemically changes it into a carbonate or a hydroxide which is a completely different process.
And BTW, PLL have only ever contributed 25% to costs and capex, if that...
