The questions ain't the size, I mean how big was Lehman? To say a default wouldn't have consequences is crazy, who would take haircuts? whose collateral would be hit? Its a fairly incredible cross web of holdings between these countries and banks.
Anyway whether its a scam or not matters little to MEO, the price is on the board at 27c.
