When I read posts here by banksy and red baron, you would think you were in a church in supplication for God's Help for a bright future. The question is, is there a God helping here? Why would he do that?
The reality is this: 1) PLL, with no ability or work of its own, made what in retrospect turns out to be a fanciful deal 2 years ago. 2) PLL, through its own stupidity, failed to follow through on its promise to build a hydroxide plant in NC that would come on line between mid-23 and mid-24 and process SYAQ's concentrate. 3) PLL already agreed in writing 2 years ago, when 'acquiring the NAL complex, to a chemical processing plant which, according to the agreement with the Canadian government, must be in operation by no later than 27 - otherwise the SYAQ/PLL JV would not have been able to buy the NAL complex in the first place. 4) Despite this distorted and unilaterally favoring PLL situation, SYA(Q) is abiding by the then contract.
Is it too much to expect PLL to do the same and to put the processing plant agreed upon at the time on the joint path?

What would be possible for SYAQ if PLL insists on continuing to insist on the windfall profits? It is likely that they would build the chemical plant on their own elsewhere near NAL and, under the existing contracts with IQ, process the at NAL concentrate from 26. PLL can be sure that there will then be no concentrate left for the rest of LOM to supply to PLL, Moreover, the selling price of the concentrate to the wholly owned chemical plant can easily be made to accrue the big profits there and thus outside the current JV. Is this what PLL wants?

Summary: PLL has no right to receive the windfall profits from the 2021 agreement in all the future. PLL has to be very friendly not to deprive itself of very large dividends from the JV with SYA in a few years. PLL is in a bring obligation. Not the other way around!
