Another indecisive day?

Yes BAS lost half cent to finish on 13c. Our volume was low, nearly exact as yesterday, just around 1.7m shares traded. We opened on 13, touched 14 and finished back at 13 thanks to closing auction shenanigans. At one stage it looked to start taking down the 14 wall, but not enough volume which allowed sellers to come back and take control

So now we are now playing in the narrow range of 13/16 for many days, with an immediate hurdle of overcoming 14c wall. Last few days we have been finishing around 13/13.5/14 - so nothing major happening at this stage - grinding days mostly. The volume is still not high enough to make a decisive break. So probably need a catalyst (news etc) or some big traders now to move it.

Today's trading, though in low volume, was still positive. Unlike other days, there were some buyers, one which bought around 500k at one go and then the buys at 14. But it seems to be that some are keen to keep it at this level. There was decent amount on 13.5 and 14 was being bought, but still someone wiped out 13.5 in a sell. So from that point of view if there is an attempt to keep here for now, it is happening because of lack of volume.

So what will happen tomorrow? Many think that tomorrow's quarterly from Santos could provide the catalyst which we need. There is a chance and if that happens it would be very good. But I am not sure about it. Sometimes they try to focus a lot of financial numbers and immediate challenges so concentrate on that - also give general statements. So lets see. For us, its slowly looking like our immediate target is 14 - I have a feeling that if that gets taken out, some positivity could return to propel us further - but at this stage still uncertain so please dyor. I am hoping it happens that way - we need some good strong green days - its been a while. Will that happen? Let's hope so. All the best.
