I also urge investors hit by this tax to write to the Government, opposition and Kerry O'Brien.

Imagine what will happen if BHP and RIO delist - this is hinted in the RIO comments so far. The super funds will have to sell. The whole industry is now in turmoil and up for restructure.

Once funds and planning are committed elsewhere around the world where Governments want the miners to invest that will be it / game over for resource project growth here. We are about to miss resource growth from stage two of the commodities boom and that will be it for 30 years until the next tangible asset cycle.

Those same projects will be picked up by the Chinese who will sell back to themselves for minimum profit and maximum return back in China. Aussies will get less not more and we all lose in the process as well. That is not even to factor the knock on effects on the Australian economy which go far beyond the tax paid by our resource companies.

I could not be more angry at the idiocy of this ambush on our prime industry sector, our investments and the Australian economy. The spin is not digestible Mr Rudd - abolish the proposed Rudd Unworkable Super Tax (RUST) or go away!
