Rate of growth is off a still low base.
Will likely plateau. Biggest selling vehicles in Australia are Dual Cab Utes. There is not really a suitable EV dual cab.
New vehicle sales are primarily business use and are held for 3 to 5 years.
Say EV have a great year next year and 200000 sales, that's 200000 further sales not required for 3 to 5 years getting us close to 2030 already.
2nd hand car market is far bigger than new car market. 15 yo ICE cars for $15000 are still going to be bought for some time.
$5000 20 year old ICE vehicles are still going to be bought.
