Not sure that I'd be that confident that Tanz graphite concentrate without the second stage of ultra-purification would be quite good enough for direct use in EV batteries. Are you perhaps intonating that may be the case with Meralini graphite which hasn't got a mention (thus far) in context of the information surrounding the FA.

Its more than likely that construction in Tanz will be less expensive than in Europe and the US, as you highlight. Also, of significance is the lack of reference to the critical minerals "hub" that has been bandied about. Couldn't imagine the Tanz Govt not wanting a piece of the downstream pie, do you?

There are so many positives to the concept of a micronisation and shaping facility in Tanz. Freight-cost savings, reduction in carbon emissions in shipping way less volume of product, lack of duplicity in construction leading to CAPEX savings and locating the final processing plants at the site of gigafactories ensures security over IP and also provides flexibility over product specs and whether they need further purification.

Is that what you are thinking, NL?

PS: It could be a JV facility with all the graphite producers too in the Tanz precinct
