“Going back to the 2500kg of LCE mentioned, if we assume that it is from the 120,000L of Lithium Chloride produced, the eluate concentration sent to Saltworks should be around 9000 mg/L. This is about 5 times better quality than usual and the Lilac DLE methodology is producing some exceptional results. (stand to be corrected)”

    Hi Pakkaser,

    2500 kg LCE
    = about 470 kg Li
    470 kg Li / 120,000 L
    = about 3.9 g/L
    = about 3900 mg/L

IIRC back in November they reported that the plant was producing “in-spec” eluate that was between 1900 and 3800 mg/L

What’s the spec of the recent/total eluate? They did not disclose. Why not?

So, if it was indeed 120,000 litres, AND the average spec was 3900 mg/L, then they could theoretically produce 2,500kg of carbonate, but that would require zero losses / 100% processing efficiency.
My expectation is that they won’t be able to produce 2,500kg of actual BG carbonate product from that eluate; time will tell. I don’t think they will disclose how many kg in total they actually eventually produce from it at saltworks; they will deflect by announcing x kg of material sent to potential customer A and x kg sent to customer B etc, imo, and as usual the detail will remain a mystery.
