if one looks though history and walks many of the old battlefields - which are almost invariably quiet, peaceful and many very beautiful

one recognises that in many instances --------- there's no real changes - all that's happened is people doing massive harm and pain to other people ------- in the end, the places stay the same AND are inhabited by the same peoples - so, many of the wars and battles - have been pointless for the purposes that they were fought

it is possible that war is a survival mechanism to keep us culled to the best possible chances of surviving - I don't know that for sure, but, I suspect it

all I know is that when one walks the hills of Verdun - the hills are still owned by the same people who owned them before - the hills are still quiet and peaceful, just like they were before

if we depart the planet now - the hills will change at geological pace ---------- all that has happened is human stupidity

Vietnam is the same - most places are the same - it's a craziness of mankind

and it's brought on more often than not - by only very few individuals - with lots of followers sure - but, without those few bad apples at the top -------------- everyone else would be having fun together, eating, drinking, telling stories, sharing family and friends time

we need to cull the duds -------------- the leaders. Leaders who take us to war - who almost never end up on the front lines themselves - they are safely tucked away in their dining rooms in their government houses some place far from the action - - sending others to their deaths and destruction

somehow, humans need to cut them out of the chain
