it can actually work. if the management and their sales force are not up to the task.. Can't see how high level promotion can be harmful. But could be good idea to ask ASM if they are ok with such move. Who knows... they may not see it as helpful. They may be in advanced negotiations with one of those companies and you may reveal (unintentionally) some sensitive intel ASM did not want to reveal at that stage.
I am curious why no one is asking the most obvious question though - with all this unmet demand and fever level desire to cut China out why is SK still struggling to establish a production hub? Thought this would be walk in the park. So this is where geopolitics kicks in. It may happen (SK to make it) but it's lot tougher than many think.
However, Aus is in much better position to do it - and we should. But like with everything (Iron Ore is good example) else, our 5th grade politicians will ensure we are only a giant mine and produce no value-add products aka downstream industries.
Hence why I am monitoring how ARU will do once they have everything running. Same for ASM (plus I have large position in ALK which can have an impact on their shares if IG gets stuck with ASM). And wish both of them well.
