Thats okay - yes I accept the fact that I ask dumb questions - a fair observation - water off a ducks back - but the share market is not my world, so I struggle with the idea of short selling and graphs - but I do admire your posts and 618, khopchai etc as its very interesting even if I don't understand it all - I give it my best shot. Some people posting here are very talented and amazingly knowledgeable. I have always worked on the on the principle that I do not have to be the smartest person - but I have to have the humility to appreciate the depth in other people and give them some encouragement. In this difficult world those kind words might be the nicest thing that they have had happen all week.

I just like to step back and look at world/local events and people's hidden agendas to see where things are going. Besides which - when I am underestimated then I pull out the machete and chop my adversary off at the knees - then they are mighty surprised!

Sometimes companies with Boards go nowhere - because their own Board agenda is just to collect their fees and string that collection out as long as they can without actually delivering much for the company. I am a bit of a cynic and see things very black and white. I really like Papasmurfs allegory of the 4D chess match - this is exactly what STX is about - and STX have a rare team to really truly deliver the company objectives for the shareholders and additionally they probably enjoy the cut and thrust dynamics.

Okay put that aside - I actually agree with you. STX does not need TPD. - But as a what if?? If TPD is an international player for gas ie - sales from Mongolia and we took them over - would that make it allowable to sell our domestic gas internationally? Is there something behind the scenes which is not visible that TPD has access to? More than the gas fields in the Perth Basin?
