The Clowns will wait for the expiration of the options. Then, they will work out some deal that both puts some money in the coffers and adds another round of 'useless' options for another group of scapegoats to end up with. Rinse and repeat.
Not much more to say, they're either useless or they're incredibly smart but morally inept.
