Good comments. However, I see things slightly differently.
The partnership with Realtek gives Realtek the IP/solution design skills for OTC hearing and other categories for OEM projects - they produce the chips, others do the solution design and manufacturing.
It also gives NUH the one-chip solution which has benefits in size, power consumption (big benefit), design flexibility, and reliability (fewer cips to place, solder, break loose over time). Potentially also product differantiation as some features may be switched on/off in firmware. Manufacturing remains by NUH or Realtek approved contractor.
So I see NUH able to walk both sides of the street, building and selling products based on Realtek chipsets, providing services and IP for OEM, and allowing Realtek to expand the on-chip tech into different markets.
With sales at the level reported in March/April and accelerating, NUH may be able to get away with current cashflow. The implication is that if not, Realtek would provide support.
