"Has anyone ever heard of a situtation where option expiry date has been extended?"

I am not sure about an options expiry date extension jase.

I have certainly been in a situation where options were about to expire and the share price of the head share was well below the conversion price for the options.

In that case the company (Barramundi) cancelled the Options and replaced them with a new lot (1:1) at a lower conversion price for a date in 2011.
But I think it involved issuing a new propectus but don't quote me on that point !
