of course there has always (over the last few hundred million years) been natural releases of CO2 and other GHGs.
but over that time millions of years of carbon has been laid down in the ground forming coal oils and gases. it literally took millions of years for those deposits to be created.... until modern man realised that by burning rocks they could turn that carbon into heat. So millions of years of carbon has been dug and and release over just a few hundred years.
this iOS the man-made component which has caused (directly) global warming.
