Activist hedge fund QVT is the second shareholder reported to the UK Takeover Panel by Cadogan Petroleum over allegations that two investors are illegally trying to seize control of the company, the Financial Times has learnt.

As well as their holdings in Cadogan, regulatory filings show that QVT and Weiss hold combined stakes of over 30 per cent in four other small London-listed companies where members of the board have been replaced, and in some cases assets sold off.
