I just add my two bits worth to the discussion.

Sometime the market price is manipulated by well healed individual or organization to keep price low in order to acquire large parcel at cheap price.

Or price can be manipulated higher in order to get traders interested and then unload shares to them.

We see this on daily basis and when it gets way out of line the ASX or ASIC are suppose to step in and take action to correct the problem.

Arguing that market is always right or fair is simplistic and does not reflect reality.

If it was always right then we would not need the watchdogs and regulator.

Sadly, most of the time market is biased or even crooked.
