IMO there are two stats that are important in accessing Russia's current position:
(a) Putin's domestic approval ( 1st indicator if regime change )
(b) the value of the Rouble.( 2nd indicator of regime change)





(XE Currency)

In summary, both benchmarks look like Putin will be around for some time , IMO.

PS: both the Rouble & AUD are commodity currencies.
