Peter, Israel has really lost the plot this time. I would like to see a peaceful Israel within secure borders. Do you really think Israel's behaviour over the last couple of decades is increasing the chances of that happening.
From a purely selfish point of view, the west will eventually cast them adrift. Their only hope of long term survival is to try and achieve some sort of settlement.
Eventually the collective world guilt feelings over the holocaust will fade, helped along by stupid actions , such as todays.
Starting to think that Israel's chances of survival, may have died with Rabin.
