Horsa, the official channels didnt work. No buildings destroyed in the war have been rebuilt because no building materials were allowed in, especially cement. The flotilla reportedly carried cement.
You say:"This was a political stunt for maximum attention." I agree with you, in the main. It was supposed to break the Gaza blockade, regarded as inhuman by caring people. But I dont think they expected to be massacred. BTW, the death toll is now supposedly over 20, with censorship on the number of wounded.

There were reportedly about 800 people from 40 countries on those boats....from Turkey, Greece, Pakistan, Malaysia, the Eu...you name it. And all had the support of their governments, who are now baying for blood (a figure of speech). So, Horsa, there were lots of fanatics involved. It was truly an international effort.... and do you know what? It is not over, because the survivors are refusing to leave their ships....they are vowing to complete the delivery of their cargo to Gaza. Just maybe the death toll is not yet complete......
