I think it's hard to make a case that he isn't aligned with shareholders." – Except that there's a substantial misalignment between Mr Hyde and me in the cost of acquiring our respective holdings. My shares were acquired with actual money on which I have had to pay taxes, and out of which I have had to cover all my living expenses. Mr Hyde has been given his incentive shares for no financial commitment in return for doing a competent and professional job.
So I would expect that Mr Hyde's attitude toward losing 25% of his share value would be vastly different to mine.
