The control should be SOC, not an alternative experimental, unproven, unapproved as a treatment control. The entire purpose of using a control is to be able to compare efficacy to demonstrate an improvement. What if HA rapidly increased back pain, and so artificially made the cells look better than they would be against SOC?
That is the equivalent of saying..... lets use an IV asprin " control " in the next GvHD trial.
