TER used the term 'special dividend' previously and was I believe at 2.5c. Why was it special - perhaps a feel good moment as maybe they didn't have to pay it at all and thus we should all feel 'specially' privileged. Another special privilege perhaps coming??
The special part may pay for a good night out that otherwise might just be a night in with a candlelit dinner having to set aside payment for the specially inflated never ending bills. We all need specials.
