I have been trading long enough to have all my body covered by deep scars and got wiped, cleaned out more than once and destroyed my personal life too, I was one of those people who need to learn the hard ways.
There are others who are better than me and stick and believe the rules much earlier and managed to avoid blow out trades.

Be brave when others are fearful is a great saying but to get in and only get caught and refused to cut the loss and having the loss bigger and bigger and runing out of capital and missing out on stocks that perform better is fatal.
I see the banks and mining as where the big money are going to be made.
I am always ready to dip my toes in and test the water, but I am quick to pull out when I sense that things are not right so I don't have fear as most understand.
Fear only happens when one is holding an underperforming stocks, having too big margin in comparison to one's acc, not knowing what to do, not having an exit strategy when things go wrong etc etc.
I don't like holding onto a losing position.......and it takes too long to wxplain this.
QBE at 18.50 I have to buy and with tight stop loss I will be happy to get hit if I have to and no one knows if this will go lower or stop going lower and will this fit in the saying be brave when others are fearful? I don't think it has anything to do with being brave, I just have money now after several weeks closing out winning and losing positions and as traders we see opportunity and take it, if it does not work we get out.
DOW can go much lower or start to go up so I will see if I will ride this position and add more or get out.
