Thanks @akgo01, in retrospect I shouldn't have responded to your previous post on mutations in the first place. In response to this post. By my understanding mutations are random and therefore can be considered to be accidental. However those that survive do so becuase they give the owners advantages over those that don't - an example was given in the post that I shouldn't have made - and don't survive by accident.
