'The Australian' publishes both sides of an argument, so has bucketloads more credibility than the "source" you used.
Many "renewables" in the long term will be destructive to the environment: it's not just raptors being killed by wind turbines, but every 15-20 years many solar panel and wind turbine components must be replaced. Not all are recyclable.
