1. The Australian aboriginals are basically the same group of people in Andaman and Nicobar islands of India, who migrated from East Africa at least 100,000 years ago and spread as far as Sakhalin island of Russia.
2. Around 4,000 years ago, another wave of Dravidian Indians came to Australia continent via Indonesia islands(not directly landing on the barren land of WA) . Dingo was brought to this continent by these Dravidian Indonesians. It is possible these Dravidians were pushed by the invasion of Aryans from the north and causing a chain effect from south India all the way to Australia.
3. Around 2,000 years another smaller wave of Polynesians migrated to north and central Queensland and soon assimilated by the aboriginals there as evidenced by the DNA sequence matching. The total number of this wave is no more a few thousand.
So yes Indians arrive here much earlier any Europeans and may in the future retake the ownership of this continent after the Anglo-Sino geopolitical struggle which basically make the space open for them.
