John 1:1 states unequivocally, “In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.” --------------------- When the Bible talks about a ''beginning'' it is referring to something that is not eternal. The universe had a beginning [Gen1:1]. The ''Word'' had a beginning. [John1:1]. God had no beginning. Before the universe and the Word began only God existed. (Psalm 90:2) Before the mountains were born Or you brought forth the earth and the productive land, From everlasting to everlasting, you are God . So John1:1 is referring to ''the Word'' having a beginning and that he was with 'the God', Jehovah. It does not say the Word was 'the God'. So we can conclude from this that Jesus ''the Word'' is not ''the God''. They are 2 different persons.

John 1:1 states unequivocally, “In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.” What does the rest of John 1 have? This Word (God) became flesh, which turned out to be Jesus. Now, if you don't believe scripture which appears to be the case, that is fine.
