You've readily admitted that the MD treats his shareholders with contempt ("giving our MD reason to treat us shareholders with even more contempt than he already does") - but your solution seems to be "dont highlight it or he might get worse"
Incredulous really - it shouldn't be forgotten he (and the rest of them) works for the shareholders - each of them deserves his respect regardless of how he might feel about them.
