Unfortunately decisions by management have very little to do with the share prices over the last several years, lets not forget Sol made some superb decisions at the helm to transform this company.
Imagine what the value of the company would be without the wireless internet or chinese directories investments, not to mention sensis and foxtel.
Just look at poor Telecom NZ who are dealing with thier own version of the NBN fight, same kind of goevernment attack but they have no other business interests to fall back on or bargain with, TLS value will soon whack everyone over the head with a mallet once all the crap has flushed down the toilet once and for all.
Sol was a necessary evil who left in place a good framework perfect for someone like Thodey to come in and get down to the business restoring reputation, winning back customers and providing good returns for investors.
