Man oh man, what is going on here.
They are trying to merge themselves into the world's largest lithium company?
Isn't JL always blasting how poor performing Livent have been. Is this their get out of jail card, while AKE just grows? Poor management + poor management = good management? Who did they get to advise, MS and UBS, no wonder the change in tone recently from the master manipulators. No wonder the share price capping. Why do we get in bed with them?
If we keep merging, why might as well just merge with GLN while they are so undervalued to make it a clean sweep in the area! Then it would be a super easy task for the Argentinean government to nationalize us (jokes)!
I guess such a deal, puts us closer to Nemaska. Don't really follow, but do they have conversion capacity/expertise there (aka for JB product)? Connection to US markets, Canada and Argentina, lots of synergy, so I guess it makes some sense. Put us on the US exchanges so we should be valued highly.
The question becomes, is the merger done with fairness for our valuation and growth opportunities?
The devil will be in the detail. I wait with curiosity.
