Increase in buyers and increase in numbers of shares sought versus the sellers numbers, as the ratio of buyers to sellers increases that means more momentum to go up. Think of it as people coming to a market to buy produce, if sellers have something people want and there's fewer of them and way more buyers, people will pay more to get what they want before anyone else can get it.
