The Root project falls under a different First Nations group from my understanding. Hence, they are able to continue there and give the Whitesands group some breathing space.
The risk of course is that other First Nation groups decide to band together for further action as a whole against the Ontario Ministry.
BM8 sounds like they may have missed a few checkboxes with Whitesands FN and have to correct those first before being able to drill. GT1 id not likely in the same same boat but time will tell.
