I think your last sentence elegantly sums up the "Yes" case.
Question for you Bb1: Let's say the referendum passes and ATSI peoples are empowered with the Voice.
Given that Aborigines over the last half century have been given equal political status through the '67 referendum, land rights in the '70s, Native Title in the '90s, ATSIC (since disbanded), a whole host of Aboriginal support organisations consuming $30,000,000,000 of Australian taxpayers' money annually, massive media promotion, representation in the Parliament where Indigenous members are at least proportionately represented - and now the Voice which confers Constitutional advisory privileges to Parliament and Government available to no other minority - isn't this ENOUGH goodwill shown to 1/25th of the population by the other 24/25ths?
How much more is needed before we become reconciled?
