Mega - that news about Livent is old news - it's from May last year - Livent does effectively own 50% of the Whabouchi project. You might have missed it but the current chatter is about Livent's proposed merger with Allkem, which would bring the James Bay project and the Whabouchi project (owned by Nemaska Lithium which Livent has 50% of) into the one stable.

The boss of Livent said the other day that the Quebec government, which owns the other 50% of Nemaska, typically prefers to only hold 20% to 25% of a project. Now I suspect the Livent bloke might have made that shit up but if he is correct then that suggests that Livent could effectively buy another 25% to 30% of Whabouchi and Sayona could pick up another 15% to 20% of Moblan. Given the plans Sayona has for Moblan the sooner the transaction the better as the project's valuation should explode in the next couple of years.
