    I might be wrong but I am getting the feeling that the consolidation of the lithium industry will inevitably include Sayona either merging with, or being taken over by one of the giants.

    To me it seems a Livent/Allkem new company would be the most likely.

    Why I say that is because Livent and Sayona are almost on identical paths, including partner arrangements with the government of Quebec (Investissement Quebec).

    Others on here have stated that Sayona will not be a target because of it’s involvement with the Government of Quebec.

    That would apply to all of the lithium giants except one, that being Livent. I would think the government of Quebec (and the Federal government) would not stand in the way of M & A between Livent/Allkem new company and Sayona. They may in fact want that to happen.

    Such a merged entity would challenge Albemarle and SQM in terms of global superiority.

    In North America, it would almost certainly be number one.
