    Hi all,

Sorry in advance if this has been answered previously, but can anyone shed some light on exactly what boxes have to be ticked for FIRB to give approval?

Do the requirements for FIRB approval change depending on the nature of the application, company etc, or are they uniform accross the board?

Surley one of the requirements would be having to satisfy the Government in terms of Enviromental policies and adopting best practices to limit the potential risk of an enviromental disaster!

Is it possible that PBR now have ALOT more to do, to satisfy the board before they sign off on approval. Surley the disaster in the US will now mean companies have to jump through alot more hoops to get FIRB approval, or will it not effect us because we are drilling for gas, not oil.

Is it possible that the requirements for approval are changing as we speak, and that PBR now have to provide additional assurances to satisfy the Government that they have done everything possible to avoid what has just happend in the US?

Have any other offshore drillers received FIRB approval since the disaster in the US? We might now have to throw previous FIRB approval timelines out the window.

Anyones thoughts or feedback are appreciated.

    Marvdog
