Hotcopper is a trading forum not specifically a charting forum so both technical analysis and fundamental analisis goes on here... along with criticism of that TA and FA. So long as the criticism is about the ideas and not personal attacks it is all fair game.

It is my honest opinion that the pattern you drew over is a descending triangle without a clear breakout. But you know what it bugs me to be "educated" about TA by someone who I consider to be doing it wrong so I'll stop from trying to educate you on how I think you are doing it wrong. We see very different things in the same charts and I don't even trade on a timeframe where the pattern we disagree on is relevant anyway.

I hope you do well with your trading. Hell even if we get a breakout right now I would probably disagree that it was a high probability setup (vs it being random chance) while still being happy that you got the result you want which is the same as the result I want. Instead of criticizing I should have just said I just don't see it for most but not all TA that gets posted here.

As for up doots, I don't care about that. I'm just here wasting time waiting for news that might invalidate my reasons to hold PEN and that wont come from chart patterns.
