Is the Word, true God or false God?

Jesus, in prayer to his Father answered that question.
(John 17:1) Jesus spoke these things, and raising his eyes to heaven, he said: “Father, the hour has come. Glorify your son so that your son may glorify you,
(John 17:3) This means everlasting life, their coming to know you, the only true God, and the one whom you sent, Jesus Christ.

In the absolute sense Jehovah is the only true God. This does not make Jesus a false god.

(John 1:18) No man has seen God at any time; the only-begotten god who is at the Father’s side is the one who has explained Him.

Jesus explained Jehovah is his God.

(John 20:17) Jesus said to her: “Stop clinging to me, for I have not yet ascended to the Father. But go to my brothers and say to them, ‘I am ascending to my Father and your Father and to my God and your God.’”
