I didn’t take their Pride away from them and I don’t think anyone alive today has taken their Pride away from them.
I have no issues with providing extra help for any Aussie people who are doing it tough/need a helping hand because they’re doing it tough on Struggle Street but I believe in “Equality” for all Australians.
This idea that that a change of “our” constitution will somehow boost the pride of the almost few percent of Our population and fix their Issues is Pure Humbug!
Have you done your research as to how much taxpayer dollars were spent on this few percent of our population in the last fiscal year? Would you agree that we also have a significant percentage of non aboriginal people in this country who are also on Struggle Street? Do you honestly think that these non aboriginal people are not worthy of the same amount of help as those who identify as aboriginal?
Sure it’s easy to blame our society for the problems in some sections of the community but I find it extremely offensive that “any” group can take no personal responsibility for their woes while trying to wring a bigger chunk of taxpayers money out of the system.
Over $30 billion dollars in the last fiscal year and apparently it’s not enough to make a difference.
