Thats a very simplistic attitude. The facts are that if you promote the NO vote, which it seems like you are, you ARE guilty of taking away their pride. The voice will go a long way to restoring some pride. I can use the smoking ceremony as an example here, as just that one moment each week or so must mean a lot to first australians as a sign of belonging and their culture being a valued part of the country. Any reasonable thinking person would agree with that. But as these posts have revealed today there's many miserable attitudes who can't bring themselves to even allow that. It's more than clear that those same people have no interest in their welfare going forward. You mention money and costs...well how many billions have been sunk into this issue over the decades and what you see today is the result. Even the most stupid punter must surely agree that things need to change.
