The gap trading stuff is concerned with trading gaps that occur on Monday morning AEST around 6am.
Not all providers have their markets "open" at this stage... eg, IGMarkets is open at 6am, AXISODL is open at 7am and so on.
And as an example IGMarkets enable trading at this time, but their charts are not available toil around 8am...
(This actually enables ME to still trade the gaps as i just take a snapshot of prices before FOREX market open and just after and use the difference in prices to calculate the gap.)

Which goes in details of what I do, and since that time we have had a number of other good forex heads add certain strategies that they use.
Timing is important, and this side is not tackled well in the above mentioned document, and I need to pop out a second draft soon covering this aspect, namely, that the following times seem significant after market open 06:30 (1/2 hour after open) 07:00 one hour after open 08:00 two hours after open.
