the scary thing for shorts is it’s actually not a take over, so their negative equity position is literally unlimited! They would no doubt get margin called fast in a sizable uplift event, which would exacerbate the situation. If it was a take over offer for Ake it would effectively put a ceiling in the share price.
this is a very very bad situation for shorts. Probably why Martin said this will unlock share holder wealth.
they got squeezed hard on Lion town and are preying that ALB pull the offer. But what happens if ALB decide to up the ante? What happens is pls gets a hostile offer at a significant offer?
musical chairs and there aren’t enough companies in pre production/production to take over. The shorts got lucky last time around with capital placements, it’s time to see them hurting like they hurt us back in 18. People don’t forget.
