No matter how much you love the product, that should be a huge red flag.I don’t hold so am happy to be ignored by the masses, but I would say: be very cautious of people who are trying to spin this announcement in a positive light. For what it's worth, I think the increased directors fees, options and shares should be met with caution. The business should be waiting until sizeable returns for shareholders have been made, before trying to reward management. Do not make excuses for them; it is not about how many hours the management team work, it is about delivering returns for shareholders. Unfortunately many retail investors will create, and swallow, all sorts of excuses about "incentivizing the team" and so no. The real incentive should be: management don't get paid a dollar more, until they actually deliver returns to shareholders. I often wonder how some companies get away with paying themselves so much whilst delivering little-to-no tangible financial returns; when I read threads like CRO, I start to understand why.
